H.M.S. Hood Crew Complement

Presented here are various examples of crew authorisations for the battle cruiser H.M.S. Hood. Basically, these are listings which show how many of each rank/position she required in order to function. This information was derived from Admiralty file ADM 136/13, the voluminous "ship's books" of H.M.S. Hood. It illustrates the various ranks and positions allotted to Hood at various points during her career. The original file is held at The National Archives (TNA), Kew, London.
