Biographical Information:

James was born on 25th March 1907 in Marylebone, London to Emily Gardner. He was the husband of Ivy Gardner, of Reading, Berkshire. He was a recipient of the Croix de Guerre, R.N. He was serving as an Acting Petty Officer Telegraphist and was 34 years old at the time of his loss.
