Robert Glenn
"Mickey", as he was known, was born on 20th March 1909 in Ballingstraid, Ballycastle, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He was the husband of Violet Glenn, of Southsea, Hampshire. A talented artist, he was well-known among Hood's company as the ship's unofficial cartoonist. He was also a member of the popular shipboard band "The Harmony Boys". Mickey was serving as an Acting Stoker Petty Officer (Temporary) and was 32 years old at the time of his loss.
