Biographical Information:

Horace was born on 14th February 1899 in Croydon, London, Surrey to parents Herbert and Frances Goldsmith. He had two older broothers - Sidney and Reginald - plus a younger sister - Ethel - and a younger brother - Arthur. Horace's father was a plumber by trade and Horace himself worked as a plumber's mate before joining the Royal Navy.

Reginald was the husband of Gladys Goldsmith, of Greenford, Middlesex. The couple lived at Northolt Park, Middlsex at the time of his death. He was 42 years old at the time of his loss.
