Biographical Information:

Charlie, as he was known, was born on 15th August 1906 at 30 Spittal Street, Manchester. He was one of two boys (Frankie and Bill) and one girl (Minnie) born to his parents Frank (a veteran of World War One) and Mary Jane. The family later moved to Salford, Lancashire. Charlie later had two sons of his own (Keith and Derreck). He was 34 years old at the time of his loss.
