Alex Cruickshank Barclay
'Sandy', as he was known to family and friends, was born on 7th October 1920. He was the son of Alex and Bella Barclay, of May Cottage, Lumsden, Aberdeenshire. The family had previously resided in Church Street, Huntly. He was an apprentice baker before joining the Navy at age 18.
He was 20 years old at the time of his loss.
