Biographical Information:

Bobby, as he was known, was was born on 14th September 1924 in Barton-upon-Irwell, Lancashire to John and Mary Jones. The family later lived in Patricroft, Lancashire. He had a sister named Audrey. He was trained at H.M.S. St. George before joining Hood.

He was 16 years old at the time of his loss. He was the third youngest person lost in the sinking of Hood.
