Biographical Information:

Howard was born on 26th November 1912 to Sidney Joseph Lancaster and his wife Alice (maiden surname Beebee) of Walsall, Staffordshire.

Howard was a member of a large family, and had two sisters (Agnes and Kate, both born in 1900) and four brothers: Sidney (1903), Arthur (1905), Frederick (1908) and George (1910).

Howard was 28 years old at the time of his loss.
