Biographical Information:

Jack was born on 18th October 1920 in Leeds, Yorkshire to Leonard and Doris Lawson. The family later lived in Stanningley, Yorkshire. Jack was an accomplished swimmer. Before joining the Navy he achieved great success as a member of the Pudsey ASA in both individual events and water polo. He was 20 years old at the time of his loss.
