Biographical Information:

Alexander was born on 17th February 1918 to Alexander and Isabella Malcolmson, of Natal Cottage, Quarff, Shetland. He attended school at the Anderson Educational Institute, Lerwick. He later received a Master of Arts from Edinburgh University. He was 23 years old at the time of his loss.
