Biographical Information:

Eric was born on 10th November 1921 in Droxford, Hampshire to Edward and May Marsh. The family would later live in Bitterne, Southampton. Eric, like Philip Buckett (q.v.), was a pupil of Taunton's School, Southampton, and is commemorated by the school (see below).

He was serving as an Acting Leading Seaman (Temporary) and was 19 years old at the time of his loss.
