Biographical Information:

Joseph was born on 15th November 1921 to Joseph and Elizabeth Marsh, of Leyton, Essex. He was educated at the Newport School, Newport Road, Leytonstone. He is believed to have worked in a factory prior to joining the Navy at the age of 17. He was known to be very "dapper" and preferred to wear nice clothing.

Joseph was 19 years old at the time of his loss.
