Biographical Information:

Ronald was born on 24th December 1918 in Hastings, Sussex. His parents lived at 118 Beaconsfield Road Hastings during this childhood.

Before his service in Hood, Ronald had been in H.M.S. Royal Oak and was one of those to survive her sinking on 14th October 1939. He is believed to have joined the Royal Marines in 1936.

He was 22 years old at the time of his loss.
