Biographical Information:

James was born on 1st September 1897 in Morpeth, Northumberland to parents James and Hattie Scott. They family later lived in Wallsend on Tyne, Northumberland.

He was the husband of Nellie Scott and lived at 42 Catherine Street, Jarrow. James had served in the Navy for 22 years. Their son Archie was lost in naval service in January 1941. James was 43 years old at the time of his loss.
