Biographical Information:
Thomas was born on 4th February 1922 in Mendlesham, Stowmarket, Suffolk to Thomas and Kathleen Southgate. The family later lived in Earsham, Norfolk. He was a member of Hood's Number Four 4" gun crew. Thomas was 19 years old at the time of his loss.
