Biographical Information:

Douglas was born on 11th May 1921 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire to Fred and Eliza Stubbings. The family later lived at 59 Central Avenue, Kettering, Northamptonshire. Prior to joining the Marines in early 1940, Douglas worked for clothing manufacturers Messrs Wallis and Linnell. He was 20 years old at the time of his loss.
