Biographical Information:

William was born on 8th June 1906 in Norwich, Norfolk to Ernest and Ruth Todd. He was the husband of Martha Todd, of Hillingdon, Middlesex. William was a naval career man. He joined the Navy in the 1920s. He was a naval boxing champion in the late 1920s for two or three years in a row. He was known to have been serving in H.M.S. Warspite in 1941. he has taken ill and was hospitalised. Upon release from hospital, he was reassigned to H.M.S. Hood.

He was 34 years old at the time of his loss.
