Biographical Information:

"Dougie" as he was known, was born on 2nd August 1919 in Riddings, Derbyshire along with his twin, Samuel, to parents Samuel and Lily Walters.

He is known to have worked in the local markets before joining the Navy. He was also guitarist in a local dance band. He is remembered as being a good seimmer and cyclist.

He was the husband of Edna Walters, of Riddings. He was 21 years old at the time of his loss.
