Biographical Information: Antony was a member of prominent family, being the grandson of Sir Ernest Waterlow, a Royal Academician, and the son of Oscar Waterlow, an engineer who spent some of his working life in Japan, where Antony was born. Antony was the brother of Lieutenant Oscar Stephen Verity Waterlow DSC (q.v.) who served in Hood in 1938 and 1939, and who lost his life in the sinking of HM Submarine Talisman on 16 September 1942.
