Biographical Information:

Herbert was born on 10th April 1901 in Walthamstow, Essex to Ernest and Emily Cann. He was the husband of Emily Cann and the father of Ian Cann, of Milton, Portsea, Hampshire. He is believed to have manned one of the loaders in one of Hood's aft turrets. He was 40 years old at the time of his loss.
