Biographical Information:

Daniel was born 27th October 1919 in Bedwellty, Monmouthshire, Wales to parents Alfred and Mary Carey. The family later lived in Somerton, Newport, Monmouthshire. His brother, Leslie J. Carey, also died whilst serving (RAF, 1944). He was 21 years old at the time of his loss.
