Biographical Information:

George as he was known, was born on 25th February 1917 in Basingstoke, Hampshire to Frank and Constance Cole. The family later lived in North Waltham, Hampshire. His younger brother Frank also saw military service during the war (Royal Corps of Signals). He was 24 years old at the time of his loss.
