Biographical Information:

Joseph was born on 22nd August 1922 to parents James and Georgina (Nancy) Cook, of Stoke, Warwickshire. The family resided at Resided at 113 St. George's Road, Coventry. He is known to have had a brother named Royston.

Joseph was employed by Humber Ltd. prior to joining the Navy in March 1937. He was trained at H.M.S. Ganges. He was 18 years old at the time of his loss.
