Biographical Information:

Jack, as he was known to his friends, was born on 30th May 1919 in Salisbury, Wiltshire. He was a keen athlete at school and excelled in a number of sports. He was employed as an apprentice gas fitter before the war. Jack received his Royal Marine training at Deal. He was 21 years old at the time of his loss.
