Biographical Information:

John was born on 24th July 1905 in Jarrow, County Durham. He was the husband of Hilda Elliott, of 20 Simonside View, Primrose, Jarrow. He joined the Navy circa 1931 and had served in submarines. He joined Hood roughly a year before her loss. He was 35 years old at the time of his loss.
