Biographical Information:

Henry and his twin brother Charles were born on 19th May 1922 in Houghton-le-Spring, County Durham to William and Ethel Fowle. The family later lived in Darlington. He was one of seven sons born to the couple. Henry was 19 years old at the time of his loss. His twin brother Charles was lost in the sinking of H.M.S. Ibis in November 1942.
