Biographical Information:

Frank was born on 11th March 1923 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, the second son of Frank and Robina Fowler. The family later lived at Ireland Cottage in Warsash, Hampshire.

Frank was trained at H.M.S. St. Vincent. He is known to have been an excellent sportsman who was awarded several sports medals. He is believed to have joined Hood in late 1940. He was 18 years old at the time of his loss.
