Background
This kit is manufactured by Ark Model of Hangzhou, China. It is a radio controlled kit built in 1/200 scale. It features an FRP hull, as well as an ABS plastic and brass superstructure.
Additional white metal and resin fittings are available. From what we can discern from photos, this model is not as accurate as one should expect from such a large scale. There are some very notable errors and it otherwise appears to be very basic in general layout...one should expect more from something this large and in this price range.
Please also note that we've heard various complaints about this manufacturer. Although we can neither confirm or deny any problems, we felt compelled to mention this, albeit briefly. With that in mind, "caveat emptor." We've also heard that Ark Model is releasing an updated version of this model in the near future. We will comment on it when we'e had the chance to see some photos or an actual example.
