The following photographs were sent in to the site by Don Sparks of Midwest City, Oklahoma, USA. Johnson. They are from the collection of his wife's grandfather, Edward Thomas Greenfield of Powell River, British Columbia (formerly of Brighton, England). Edward continued to live in Western Canada until his death in 1986 at the age of 99. These photos show Hood during her late June 1924 visit to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Above- Hood at anchor in Vancouver Bay

Above- The ship is open to visitors. This shot shows the massive size of "A" and "B" turrets. It also well illustrates the height of the foremast and spotting top.

Above- March past of the seamen. Note the running man at the left hand side of the photograph who seems to be holding a large box camera - possibly an official photographer.

Above- A clearer shot a few seconds later. Note the large crowd on either side of the street. Edward certainly picked himself an excellent position from which to record the event.

Victor Oldum accompanied by the Flag Officer of the Special
Service Squadron, Vice Admiral Sir Frederick Field.
