Veteran Alec Kellaway reviewed this photo and provided this additional description: "Left, stoker Bryant nicknamed Bertha, he had a nasty accident when he fell down the centre engine room ladder, in the back row I can just be seen behind Steve Logan who is dressed in a lieutenant's uniform, seated with cap is Taffy Thomas, behind him without cap is Jake Scott who was the Leading Stoker of the Admiral's barge, unfortunately Scotty was lost when the Hood sank, the stoker dressed in ladies clothes I believe was named Scott no relation to Jake, I would say that the photo was taken on Christmas Day 1937."
Above & Below- These three photos show Hood in rough weather in the Bay of Biscay
