It is estimated that as many as 9,000 men served in H.M.S. Hood during her long career. These men literally came from all walks of life and from all corners of the Empire and Commonwealth. Here we will present some of their life stories and recollections.

Survivors of the Sinking of Hood
When H.M.S. Hood sank in the Denmark Strait on 24 May 1941, she took 1,415 men to the bottom with her. Only three men survived.
