Biographical Information:

Arthur was born on 28th September 1915 to parents Arthur and Hilda Hawthorne of Coventry, Warwickshire. The family resided at 233 Sewall Highway. He was employed by the Coventry Corporation Electricity Department until he joined the Navy in October 1939.

He was the husband of Marjorie Hawthorne, of Coventry. He was 25 years old at the time of his loss.
