Biographical Information:

David was born on 14th January 1924. He was the oldest son of David and Mary Hennessy, of Dundee, Angus, Scotland. Prior to joining the Navy in 1939/1940, he workd at Don Brothers, Buist and Company. He was trained at the Caledonia and Isle of Man before joining Hood in early 1940. David was 17 years old at the time of his loss.
