Biographical Information:

William was born on 8th October 1903 (note- his official service record has this as 1902) in Southampton, Hampshire to Edward and Anne Higginson.

He is known to have served aboard H.M.S. Argus sometime prior to joining Hood. William was 27 years old at the time of his loss.
