Biographical Information:

John was the son of George and Beatrice Iago, of Northwood, Middlesex. Born in 1916, he was well educated and received a B.Sc., A.C.G.I. He entered the R.N.V.R. on active duty on 29 August 1939. He was drafted to Hood the following month.

John was engaged to Dorothy Castle of Beisize Park Gardens NW. He was 25 years old at the time of his loss. You can read more about him in his sister Bee's book, "...And Home There's No Returning".
