Biographical Information:

John was born on 20th May 1919 in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire to Walter and Florence Knight. The family later lived in Gosport, Hampshire. He was serving as an Acting Engine Room Artificer 4th Class and was 22 years old at the time of his loss.
