Biographical Information:

Den, has he was known, was born on 7th May 1920 in Wanstead, Essex to Harry and Ethel Peace. He was the middle son of three brothers, the others being Richard (eldest) and Alan (youngest). The family lived in Woodford, Chesham, Eastleigh and eventually Gosport. All three brothers saw service during the Second World War - Denzil in the Navy, Richard in the Army and Alan in the RAF.

He is known to have served in Hood prior to March 1941. He was 21 years old at the time of his loss.
