Biographical Information:

John was born on 14th January 1904 in Barrow-in-Furness, Lancashire to Warrant Engineer William Smith, R.N. (lost with H.M.S. Bulwark, November 1914). He was the husband of Hilda McKenzie Smith, of Hove, Sussex. He was 34 years old at the time of his loss.
