Biographical Information:

George was born on 19th September 1912 in Turin, Piedmont, Italy to George and Mary Cooper. The family later lived in West Norwood, Surrey. He is known to have a brother named Paul. He was a devout Roman Catholic.

George was a gregarious and happy fellow who was described as popular, arty, and who loved the high life. He was extremely interested in the theatre and everything involved with casting, writing and creating costumes and sets for plays. He attended plays regularly in the west end and may have been involved with some drama companies.

George wrote and designed the sets for his own play known as First Love, Last Love. The draft still survives, though its not known if he ever submitted it for production consideration. He was 28 years old at the time of his loss.
